Maurita Jasper
Maurita Jasper joined the Frugalitarian™ movement later in life after several decades of frivolous consumerism, meaningless credit card debt and regrettable shoe purchases – most of them at full price.
Currently, she’s a Creative Partner with The FrugalitarianTM and Creo Entertainment Company where she develops, writes and produces original content for broadcast and the web.
Her talents as a creative thinker and deft writer have also been put to use effectively in the worlds of broadcast promotion, marketing, branding and advertising. She has written and produced award-winning work for cable networks, syndication, advertising agencies – most notably CNN Creative Services, Turner Original Productions and Turner Program Services – and a children’s adventure documentary series.
Maurita met Jodi Olson, the original Frugalitarian™, working in the television trenches. There they discovered their common interests in having a lot without spending a lot, creative reinvention and social entrepreneurship.
Maurita’s commitment to the Frugalitarian™ lifestyle was cemented recently during a four week trip to Ecuador where she and her husband adopted two girls and rediscovered the beauty of living simply and the definition of “enough.”
