The FrugalitarianTM Parisienne Flea Market
The history of the Flea Market is rich and romantic. Centuries ago in Paris, the rag-and-bone men – also known more poetically as the “fishermen of the moon” – searched the garbage of Paris at night to find anything of value to sell the next day at the markets.
Paris is still famous for it’s flea markets – and what could be more Elegantly ResourcefulTM? We love the concept of scouring the stalls of Paris for little treasures, objets d’art, and vintage clothing, so we’re introducing our own Parisienne Flea Market.
Love the pieces you see in our photo vignettes? Look around. You may find some of those same pieces for sale here coming soon. We’re constantly engaged in rummaging reconnaissance and acquiring pieces we love. But alas, some things are meant to find their way to others, so we’ll be adding things to our flea market as they outlive their usefulness here at The FrugalitarianTM. Gorgeous furniture pieces, quirky decorative accents, funky clothes and jewelry – as we finish creating our vignettes, exquisite photos and demonstrating how to repurpose and reinvent items, many of those items will be available for sale.
We’re making the concept of the e-market elegant and surprising, just like a Paris flea market. So say “Non!” to retail stores and “Oui!” to rummage sales, resale & consignment shops, Goodwill, and the FrugalitarianTM online Parisienne Flea Market. When you find those little treasures that cost far less than you would pay retail, thank Paris. Viva le France!
